The Sweet Little French Provincial China Cabinet that Inspired A New Blog

⚜️OK. I think I may be in over my head but what the heck. I am going all in with my first chalk paint big project.  I've been lurking on a bunch of deco blogs like Salvaged Inspirations, A Junkchick Life, Orphans With Makeup and on and on for some time now. I cannot believe what these gals can do with a curbside find and a can of paint. I have done a few little things with chalk paint like frames, jewelry boxes and small wall shelves but a real, big piece of furniture, not so much. So today, I was in one of my local thrift stores looking for some "upcycleables" for my Christmas gift making when I came across this sweet little girl.

I knew that I had found my first real chalk paint project. That, and the fact that she was on sale for $60.00.  (Not quite the free curbside find or $20 Craigslist score I see so many bloggers talking about but if I bypass my daily flat white for less than 2 weeks, it will be paid for!)

I have named her Tessa.

So, I am starting this journal to chronicle my progress in transforming Tessa into an abfab painted lady!

I' m pretty sure that I am going to go for something pretty basic for this first try. I'm thinking Annie Sloan Old white or French linen or Amy Howard Bauhaus Buff or Chelsea Square. Or some combination of the aforementioned. Oh man, how am I going to decide? Well, I think I am off to Pinterest for some painting inspiration.
